Those
'Little, White, Illegible,' signs blowing in the breeze in the above
captioned picture, along the south side of Lake
Worth Road , about a half a mile west of the Florida Turnpike,
are an omen of the Over Development Doom that is besieging, yet,
another section of Western Palm Beach County .
Those , ominous ,white signs are notification of a proposed zoning
change, from the homes and farm land that you see here, to
High Density Commercial.
What that
means is that someone wants to dig up that parcel of land , nearly 38
acres, pave it, and put in a Big Box Shopping Center, which is
really a Super Store of some sort.. "To paint a picture -
for you as to the size - we ask you imagine nearly 29 football fields
in a square and covered with concrete. "That's Big"
For
some reason they are unwilling to tell the nearly 5,000
residents, who live within 5 miles of the site, what "Super
Store" they intend to build on this beautiful piece of
farm land.
This
is a major operation and we will do our best to keep you informed each
step of the way.
This is definitely a
community project thus your input is of the utmost
importance. Let us know what you hear about the
goings on.
There
are many reasons that this is not a good idea. Take some time
